"I wholeheartedly EMBRACE THE INHERENT WORTH AND STRENGTHS WITHIN EVERY PERSON and believe in the philosophy that we all have NO BAD PARTS."

Meet Elise (She/Her)
Founder & Director

For years, my body was a foreigner to me- it felt like an energiser bunny with no off switch, wired and exhausted, the thoughts never stopped. It spent most of its life in fight or flight, on high alert, screaming at me, yet too scared and ashamed to rest. It was over functioning, yet from the outside I looked driven, successful and fun. But on the inside the past felt so heavy and my anxiety was so crippling, I often had to gasp just to take a breath. After back to back pregnancies and a range of mysterious health issues, I fought so hard for it to come back to life, feeling like a failure in every way. Eventually, it had no choice but to collapse.

I felt like a shell of my former self, and no one else had the answers. So I asked myself, what if my body's collapse wasn't a punishment, but an invitation for me to finally listen? What if I could turn inwards and develop a friendship with it instead?

I began a healing journey yearning to finally feel safe in my body and I began to drop the pressure to hold it all together. Through consistent therapy, I befriended the different parts of me, understanding that they all had their own needs, fears and adaptations, and most importantly, I saw that my mind and body were working so hard just to protect me. I started to show up more honest and compassionate with myself than ever before, and I finally learned how to slow down and establish a sense of safety within my nervous system.

My journey has given me an embodied understanding of what it takes to feel truly grounded and connected. And now, in my work, I create safe and compassionate spaces where I guide you to reclaim your body as a source of wisdom, to reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been left behind, and to rebuild a sense of self-trust so profound you no longer need to run from your own truth.

I am a PACFA accredited counsellor and VIT registered educator with a background in primary and secondary department management and theatre arts. I support the mental health of kids, teens, and adults by nurturing the growth and authenticity of those who dare to lead with the heart.

My work is deeply informed by both somatic and cognitive theory. Our minds can be brilliant, they have incredible imaginations, but the body keeps the score. That is why I believe in both top-down and bottom-up approaches. With a person-centred philosophy, I cherish the inherent value in each individual.

Outside of my professional world I am a seeker of joy- marvelling at nature and the seasons, a lover of life-long learning, and an embracer of the challenges and laughter of raising two vibrant boys in a neurodiverse household.

How it all began.
